Kelly Mill PTO BOARD WELCOME LETTER

WELCOME BACK TO SCHOOL!

On behalf of the Kelly Mill Elementary PTO Executive Board 2023-24, we would like to extend a resounding welcome to all parents, teachers, and both new and returning Colts!

Our 2022-2023 school year was certainly one for the books, and we are looking forward to another fun and exciting year!

Fundraisers goal is to create a fantastic atmosphere for learning and growing at KME for everyone, and we encourage everyone to get involved in this rewarding endeavor.

As always, the main purpose of the PTO is to help you as parents, teachers, and your children pave their way to success!

Because the PTO is such an integral part of the KME family we have hosted many great events, such as, “Paint the Tile Night, Movie Night, Daughter Date Dance, Fun with Son Event, and Veterans Day. Fundraising events to raise funds strictly for the school included the Whimsy Daisy Holiday Market and Boosterthon.”

Last year alone, the PTO raised $63,000 for our school. In doing so, these funds provided significant funding for Kelly Mill such as new equipment for the KME Podcast, portable basketball goals, new ARC (American Reading Company) book kits for grades K-5, Movement Hallways, Author Visit with books provided to every student, 5th Grade yard signs, fencing for the K-2 playground area, teacher and staff breakfasts, luncheons, treat stations, clinic supplies and new vacuum backpacks for the custodial staff.

The need for supplemental funds is always present. Therefore, programs such as Boosterthon, Spirit Nights, and partnerships with Corporate Matching programs for contributions and/or volunteered time are essential. We will gladly provide you with a list of these programs in the upcoming weeks.

The success of the PTO is entirely dependant on the KME community of PTO members.

Opportunities to help and volunteer are available and we would LOVE your help!

Everyone’s involvement starts with joining the PTO family. The PTO motto is “Together We Accomplish More,” and that motto rings even truer now as we all look forward to another extraordinary year together.
