Q: If we buy a membership, do we have to attend meetings?

A: No. The executive board meets monthly. Occasionally, committees will meet. While you can absolutely get involved in a committee, your financial support is also greatly beneficial. There is no time commitment required when a membership is purchased.

Q: If we want to help and be involved, how do we go about doing that?

Q: How is PTO money spent:

A: A large portion of the funds go towards school/classroom improvements and teacher grants. Last year, we were able to provide turf for our K-2 playground and make small improvements to the 3-5 playground. We were also able to provide teachers with grants such as the Book Vending Machine Initiative that allows students to earn free books as rewards. We also funded the digital sign at the front of the school, the hydroponic garden towers, items for the school store to reward positive behavior, academic computer programs for grade levels, classroom readers, a large whiteboard for PE, speech therapy materials, improvements for regular and special area classrooms. PTO also coordinates and funds family events like Bingo Night, Paint the Tile Night, Daughter Date Night, Fun with Son and more. PTO funds also go towards hospitality and fun surprises to boost staff morale throughout the year, including Teacher Appreciation Week. This is just a snapshot of the many ways PTO has helped Kelly Mill Elementary.

Q: When will raffle winners be chosen?

A: We will select random winners sometime after Curriculum Night. They will be announced on our social media platforms as well as KME’s morning news. Get your PTO membership now to be entered for a chance to win!
